Blue Care Network of Michigan keeps its state residents healthy. The health maintenance organization (HMO) provides health insurance products and related services to more than 650,000 Michigan members. The company's health insurance plans include HMO, traditional indemnity, and supplemental Medicare. The network also provides wellness and disease management services to its members. Parent company Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan formed Blue Care Network of Michigan, one of the largest HMOs in Michigan, in 1998 to create a statewide coverage organization. Its network includes about 130 hospitals and 14,000 primary and specialty physicians throughout the state.
