Berkshire Hathaway International Insurance Limited (BHILL) was but a spriggish subsidiary of National Indemnity, itself a unit of Omaha, Nebraska-based Berkshire Hathaway. BHILL provided automobile insurance in Northern Ireland. The company, which operated as Holdsure Motor Policies and Enterprise Motor Policies, provided private car insurance for all drivers, including those with previous accidents. Its Studentcover insurance products covered university students. The company also provided insurance for London Black Cab and Provincial Taxi. BHILL has ceased writing new policies and its operations are in runoff.
