Bergen Regional Medical Center (BRMC) is not just the biggest hospital in Paramus, New Jersey-- it's one of the biggest in the state. Bergen Regional Medical Center provides acute care, long-term care, and behavioral health care services to the residents of northeastern New Jersey. The not-for-profit medical center, which has about 1,100 beds, also offers specialized services including orthopedics, cardiology, neurology, emergency medicine, and surgery, as well as substance abuse treatment and hospice services. About half of the facility is devoted to long-term nursing care; another 300 beds serve behavioral health patients. BRMC is owned by Bergen County.
