Company Description
Bellway is helping reclaim Britain's urban jungle, building most of its homes on recycled and reclaimed land (80% of its building activities). The holding company comprises subsidiaries that primarily operate in the housing sector. Emphasizing brownfields redevelopment, Bellway exceeded the UK's government's stated urban renewal target of 60% by the year 2008. Its principal subsidiary, Bellway Homes Limited, operates through some 20 regional divisions that build bungalows, flats, and houses throughout the UK. The country's fourth-largest homebuilder, Bellway sells about 7,000 homes annually at an average price of about £169,000 ($279,000). It has a land bank of 23,500 plots with planning permission.
