Bantam provides various IT services, as well, such as network installation and management, and server room analysis and design. The company was founded by A. W. Scott in 1969 as Tinkertronics. The manufacturer and distributor changed its name to Bantam Electronics in 2002. A. W. Scott retired in 2000. His son, EVP Cliff Scott, owns 60% of the company, while brother Trey Scott (VP) owns 40%.
