Company Description

BJ Services kept the pressure on oil production. Along with Halliburton and Schlumberger, the company was one of the top providers of pressure-pumping services used to protect the oil formation. BJ Services stimulated production through acidizing, cementing, coiled tubing, fracturing, and sand control. Its oilfield services included casing and tubular services, process and pipeline services, production chemicals, completion tools, and completion fluids services. The company operated onshore and offshore in most of the world's major oil and gas producing regions. In 2010 oil field services titan Baker Hughes acquired BJ Services for $6.9 billion.
