The fourth-largest bank in Austria, BAWAG P.S.K. operates a network of more than 150 BAWAG branches and some 1,300 P.S.K. post office outlets around the country. It focuses on small and mid-sized business and retail customers and has expanded into Eastern Europe through acquisitions. However, struck by losses following the company's possible involvement in financial scandals, the company is selling off assets and units including its Czech Republic and Slovak banks.
