Company Description

Avaya Holding Corp. is again ready to take the call from the public markets. The holding company for enterprise communications equipment and services provider Avaya Inc. formed in 2011 to make a second bid for a US stock exchange. Avaya, spun off from Lucent Technologies in 2000, was a publicly traded company until 2007, when it was taken private by Silver Lake Partners and TPG Capital for more than $8 billion. After four years of unprofitable private ownership, its investors are looking for an exit, and Avaya Holding Corp. filed a $1 billion initial public offering in June 2011.
