Although it had no revenue in 2007 or 2008, Avani, which is headquartered in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, maintains offices in Malaysia and is seeking to start operations in the Far East through a joint venture partner or licensee. CEO Robert Wang resigned in 2009; he was replaced by Dennis Robinson. Chin Yen Ong (nephew of Wang) owns 28% of Avani International; Tee Ah Siew owns 23%; and MX Power Systems owns 14%.
