Company Description

Atkore International is hanging on to a handful of electrical and metals processing and distribution businesses on behalf of Tyco International. Its Electrical and Infrastructure arm makes conduits and cables, and cable management systems. An Engineered Products and Services segment produces pipes and tubes, as well as fence framework and structural steel sheets, all in various sizes. Atkore sells its lineup under brands Allied Tube & Conduit, AFC Cable Systems, and others, through retailers, electrical and plumbing distributors, OEMs, and general contractors in North America, Brazil, the UK, France, Australia, and New Zealand. Late in 2010, Tyco spun off a 51% stake in the company to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice.
