Atkins has pushed beef off its plate in favor of a protein shake. Atkins Nutritionals, which once touted the meat-heavy Atkins diet, makes nutritional bars and shakes. The number of its products is down to about 60 from the more than 300 items it made at the height of the low-carbohydrate diet craze. Atkins no longer offers strictly low-carb dieting advice, but instead focuses on nutrition. As with other weight-loss companies, Atkins offers memberships and diet plans. Its website has an online support group called the Community Forum. The company's branded food products are sold in grocery stores and other retail outlets worldwide. Affiliates of Roark Capital Group acquired Atkins in late 2010.
