Athens Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a full-service health care facility with 315 beds serving some 17 counties in northeastern Georgia. Established in 1921, the regional hospital provides general medical, surgical, and diagnostic services, as well as a wide range of specialty care in such areas as oncology, rehabilitation, pediatrics, and radiology. ARMC is part of Athens Regional Health Services which also operates four urgent care centers, an HMO, and home health care. Its Regional FirstCare unit provides occupational health care services to injured or ill employees of local companies.
