Astec also offers services that include plant safety, maintenance and operation, and emissions control classes for plant operators, service personnel, and superintendents. The company sells its products, new and used, around the world. It was founded in 1972 by Al Guth, Gail Mize, Norm Smith (president), and Mike Uchytil (VP).
