Astaire Securities performs stockbroking, corporate finance, and advisory services for institutional clients in the UK. Rowan Darlington provides stockbroking and wealth management services to private clients in the southwest of England. Astaire & Partners, which the company acquired in 2008, provides similar services to international clients. Later that year, UK buyout consortium Evolve Capital, which is led by former Blue Oar executives, gained control of the company in a hostile takeover.
