Armstrong World Industries (AWI) won't mind if you walk all over it. Or its products, to be more exact. AWI makes ceramic, hardwood, laminate, linoleum, and vinyl sheet flooring under such brands as Armstrong, Bruce, and Robbins. Flooring accounts for more than half of total sales. Meanwhile, AWI's building products unit produces ceilings and suspension systems, and its cabinet products arm makes hardwood, kitchen, and bathroom cabinets. Products are sold to contractors, distributors, home centers, wholesalers, and other retailers for residential and commercial use. AWI operates more than 30 plants in eight countries. North America represents its largest market, followed by Europe and Asia.
