Arla Foods has given Scandinavian dairy farmers a firm grip on Europe's milk business. The 7,178-member cooperative's consumer products include fluid milk, butter, cheese, yogurt, and cream. Its major milk brands are Lactofree and Cravendale; its butter and spreads include Anchor and Lurpak brands; and Apetina, BUKO, and Denmark's Finest are among its cheese brands. Arla offers dairy ingredients and bacterial cultures for food manufacturers and agricultural use and supplies powdered milk and cheese products to markets across Europe, as well as in the UK, the US, Asia, and the Middle East. Sales outside Denmark and Sweden make up just more than 60% of revenues.
