Company Description

Arcos Dorados Holdings is in the business of Big Macs and Happy Meals mainly in Latin America. The company is the world's largest McDonald's franchisee in terms of sales and number of restaurants. It is also the largest quick-service restaurant chain in Latin America and the Caribbean, where it has exclusive rights to own, operate, and grant franchises of McDonald's restaurants in about 20 countries. Approximately three-quarters of its restaurants are company operated. Incorporated in the British Virgin Islands, Arcos Dorados Holdings is headquartered in Argentina and does most of its business through an indirect wholly-owned Dutch subsidiary. The company went public in 2011.
