Established in 1958, the company produces steel wire and plates, steel sections, tubes, coking products, pig iron, foundry iron, and nodular iron tubes, among others. Its metal production encompasses some 50 grades and 2,000 specifications, with about 70% of its exports consisting of ship plates, steel used in pipelines, and other high value-added products. Anyang has been investing in coke dry quenching units that generate electricity while reducing carbon dioxide emissions, part of a project to ultimately reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1 million tons a year.
