Company Description
Alverno College is an independent liberal arts institution with an enrollment of more than 2,300 undergraduates and about 350 graduate students. It confers associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in more than 60 areas of study at four schools: Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, and Nursing. Matriculating only women in its undergraduate programs, Alverno accepts men as graduate students. Alverno takes its name from a mountain in Italy (La Verna) that was given to St. Francis as a gift and used by his followers as a place of reflection. The school was founded by the School Sisters of St. Francis in 1887.
