Alvaco Trading Company, which does business as ABB CONCISE Optical Group, certainly has a vision. The company is focused on staying the top distributor of optical products -- from contact and ophthalmic lenses to cleaning solutions and frames -- in the US. Making some 9,000 shipments per day, it provides one-stop shopping for products made by Bausch & Lomb, CIBA Vision, and Vistakon, among others. It also offers an e-commerce platform that allows its customers (about two-thirds of the nation's independent eye care practitioners) to create online stores for their patients to buy products directly online. ABB CONCISE was created by the 2007 merger of ABB Optical and CON-CISE Contact Lens Company.
