Company Description
AltaGas invests in natural gas, power and regulated utilities in Canada and the US. The company gathers, processes, and extracts natural gas. Through its gathering and processing division, it operates more than 6,500 kilometers of gas gathering pipeline and more than 70 processing facilities that can process 2 billion cu. ft. of gas per day. The company has interests in ethane and natural gas liquids (NGLs) extraction and fractionation plants and transmission pipelines. It also has natural gas distribution utilities in Alberta, Nova Scotia and Inuvik, Northwest Territories that serve more than 75,000 customers. AltaGas has more than 500 MW of generation capacity and services 6% of the Alberta power market.
