Alliance HealthCare Services has a lead apron ready for you. Through its primary imaging division, the company operates some 500 diagnostic imaging systems for more than 1,000 hospitals and other health care providers in about 45 states. For most customers, the company provides imaging systems and the staff to run and maintain them, as well as marketing and billing support. In addition to MRI equipment and services (its main revenue source), Alliance offers positron emission tomography (PET), computed tomography (CT), combination scanning, X-rays, and ultrasound, among other imaging services. The company's Alliance Oncology unit runs more than two dozen cancer centers providing radiation therapy.
