Alliance HealthCare Services can see right through you. Through its primary imaging division, the company operates some 500 diagnostic imaging systems for more than 1,000 hospitals and other health care providers in more than 40 states. For most customers, the company (formerly Alliance Imaging) provides imaging systems and the staff to run and maintain them, as well as marketing and billing support. In addition to MRI equipment and services (which account for most of its revenue), Alliance offers positron emission tomography (PET), computed tomography (CT), combination scanning, X-rays, and ultrasound, among other imaging services.
