Company Description

Air Mauritius is the official link between its home island off the east coast of Africa and the rest of the world. The national carrier flies passengers and cargo to about 30 destinations in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East, including some served by code-sharing partners including Air France. (Code-sharing enables airlines to sell tickets on one another's flights and thus expand their networks.) The Air Mauritius fleet of about a dozen aircraft is made up primarily of Airbus jets. Through an alliance with Air Madagascar, the company operates a cargo-distribution network in about 10 African countries. Air Mauritius was founded in 1967.
