Agnes Scott College (ASC) offers bachelor of arts degrees in 33 majors and 27 minors, with pre-law and pre-medicine programs and dual degree programs in architecture, engineering, and nursing, as well as post-baccalaureate programs. The school also grants master of arts in teaching degrees in English, biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Enrollment in 2008 was about 850 students. Founded in 1889, ASC is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church and has an endowment of about $300 million. Tuition, fees, room and board cost $39,000 per year. The 100-acre campus, rated one of the most beautiful in the country, is in Decatur, Georgia.
