African Eagle Resources plc Rankings
Company Description
African Eagle Resources went hunting for base metals in southeastern Africa and has found its elusive quarry. The company discovered a major nickel oxide deposit at Dutwa in Tanzania in 2009 and is conducting a feasibility study with an eye towards starting mining operations. The company is also evaluating a second, promising nickel project at Zanzui in Tanzania; it has other gold and base metals interests in Zambia and Mozambique. African Eagle also has a uranium exploration division with holdings in all three of its primary mining regions. In 2010 African Eagle announced plans to spin off its copper division into a separate business in 2011 or 2012 in order to focus on its nickel operations.
