Company Description

Aeroflex flexes its high-tech muscle with aerospace and communications components. Its diverse offerings include integrated circuits, radio-frequency (RF) components, and microwave assemblies used in military aircraft, satellites, and wireless communications networks. It also provides test equipment used in avionics, military, and mobile radio applications. Customers include the US government and such blue-chip clients as Boeing, Cisco, and Lockheed Martin. Aeroflex was taken private in 2007 by Veritas Capital, Golden Gate Private Equity, and Goldman Sachs in a deal valued at about $1.1 billion. An affiliate of those firms, VGG Holding, owns about 77% of Aeroflex, which went public again in 2010.
