Company Description

AerCap Holdings' customers take flight. The company leases and sells aircraft and engines to commercial airlines worldwide. AerCap also sells parts and provides aircraft management, engine maintenance, and aircraft repair and disassembly services. The company's fleet includes models from Airbus, Boeing, and McDonnell-Douglas. AerCap serves about 100 customers in 50 countries with most of its revenue coming from clients based in developing countries. Clients include American Airlines, America West, Varig, and Virgin Atlantic. The company has offices in China, Ireland, Singapore, the UK, and the US. In early 2010 AerCap bought rival Genesis Lease in a stock swap transaction valued at about $1.76 billion.
