The feisty firm dedicates entire sections of its Web site to how and why Adworks provides better service than big agencies, including a "translator" to help potential clients decode "deceptive" industry jargon. Adworks has worked to shed its image as a regional agency, landing a few national clients through the years. The firm's clients have included The Library of Congress, The Washington Post, Virginia Hospital Center, and L.L. Bean. The independent agency was founded by Creative Director Mark Greenspun in 1979.
