Its mission is to build relationships and partnerships across Chicago and to inspire charitable giving by individuals, foundations, corporations, and organizations. The not-for-profit group funds programs that offer patient care, research, education, and community-based health services. These include caregiver education classes, family-focused support groups, cancer research facilities, and specialized clinics throughout the city. Advocate Charitable Foundation began as Evangelical Health Foundation in 1984 and took its current name in 1995.
