Company Description

The Administration for Native Americans (ANA) is dedicated to helping the country's original inhabitants, both economically and socially. The agency provides financial and technical assistance, as well as training to promote self-sufficiency for more than 4 million individuals in some 560 tribes in the US. ANA also offers support for Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian organizations, as well as Native populations in American Samoa, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The agency, founded in 1974, provides programs in areas such as job creation, training for use of natural resources, formation of local court systems, and social services. The 2008 budget for ANA is $4 billion.
