Company Description

Like any golfer, Adams Golf says the problem isn't in the swing, it's in the clubs. The company's Speedline fairway woods are designed to lift a golf ball from any lie -- even bunkers, rough, or divots -- and send it farther. Adams Golf also develops drivers, wedges, irons, putters, and accessories (golf bags and hats). A Women's Golf Unlimited subsidiary caters to women golfers, with irons in various colors, clubs, balls, and other gear. Specialty retailers, mass merchants, pro shops, and sporting goods stores account for about 80% of Adams' sales. In addition to endorsing Adams Golf's products, pro golfer Tom Watson assists in design and testing. The company was founded by chairman Barney Adams in 1987.
