ActivX Biosciences figures that the more you know about protein kinases, the easier it will be to inhibit them. That's the basis of its main product: a platform to profile protein kinases -- enzymes that regulate cell's signaling pathways. Its KiNativ platform has been launched for use by pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies as they develop the kinase inhibitors expected to make drug breakthroughs. The company also has its own pipeline of drug candidates in development, including one in trials for the treatment of Type-2 diabetes.
