Aberdeen Development Capital is a closed-end investment trust that raises funds and invests them in a variety of primarily privately held businesses in the UK. Its investment manager is Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited, which is a subsidiary of Aberdeen Asset Management. Aberdeen Development Capital's assets have totaled more than £18 million. The trust has invested in companies including trailer-fleet renters Transrent, cash registers component designer and manufacturer Cash Bases (also known as Deckflat), specialized cabin designer (for the energy sector) ABZ Group, and storage and materials transportation provider RMS Europe. The trust is slowly winding itself down.
