Roma is a professional football team that plays in Italy's Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A (National Professional League) under the emblem of the Capitoline Wolf, the traditional symbol of Rome. Known as the Giallorossi (yellow-reds), Roma boasts three Serie A championships and nine Italian Cups. The club, founded in 1927, plays at Rome's gigantic Stadio Olimpico. A group of investors from the US, led by club president Thomas DiBenedetto, bought a 60% stake in Roma from Unicredit in 2011. Unicredit still owns the remaining 40% of the storied club, after taking over from Italy's Sensi family earlier in 2011.
