The company owns Microgenix, which makes air purification systems for the marine industry. Its other major holding, Artemis Building Systems, is a supplier of building products such as glass curtain walls and solar photovoltaic cell panels; it began operations in 2008. AFT is looking to China for growth, seeking investments in distribution and logistics concerns and Australia-developed clean technologies to be exported for manufacture and sale there. The company previously did business as Voicenet and developed speech recognition online applications. It changed its name to AFT in 2003 and acquired full control of Microgenix in 2005 (AFT had initially acquired a 50% stake in 2002).
