The telecommunications reseller uses multilevel marketing (the sales strategy used by consumer goods distributors Tupperware and Amway). Its commission-based distributors operate in 20 countries, reselling local and long-distance phone service, as well as Internet and wireless access, satellite TV, digital telephony, utilities, and home security services. ACN buys network resources from such carriers as AT&T, Telstra, and Qwest. Satellite TV services are offered through deals with DIRECTV and DISH Network. ACN was co-founded in 1993 by chairman Robert Stevanovski, president Gregory Provenzano, and VP's Mike and Tony Cupisz.
