ABB AG, also known as ABB Austria, is a subsidiary of power and automation technologies giant ABB Ltd. and the holding company of the group's Austrian operations. Having a structure similar to that of its parent company, ABB AG focuses on power technology systems and automation technologies. The company's units manufacture and distribute power transmission equipment, power generation equipment, and industrial and building systems. At one time the name of the holding company, ABB AG became the name of two separate subsidiaries (the other one is in Germany ) when holding company ABB Ltd. was formed in 1999.
