Those who prefer to bounce on the bed before buying, however, can visit one of 1800Mattress.com's showrooms. It ships products throughout the US and internationally. Ecuadorian immigrant Napoleon Barragan founded the firm in 1976. Today it is owned by Sleepy's; the rival mattress retailer acquired it out of bankruptcy in 2009.
