1-Day Paint & Body Centers sees a lot of cars in one year. The company owns and operates about 30 auto-paint shops in California, Nevada, and New Mexico. In most cases, paint jobs take two to three days because new environmentally safe paints take a while to apply. Body work is available at most locations. Half of the company's business is from wholesale and fleet customers. The company estimates that it paints more than 25,000 new and used wholesale vehicles annually and has completed more than 1 million paint jobs in the past four decades. 1-Day Paint & Body Centers was founded in 1967 by chairman Javier Uribe, who had previously worked for rival car-painting chain Earl Scheib.
