Laramide Resources knows it's wise to do one thing and to do it well. Since 2005 Laramide has bought a number of uranium mining sites, trying to take advantage of the hot market for the metal. Though it owns a development project in the US, Laramide's best bet may be its Westmoreland project in Australia. With this focus on uranium, the company spun off its operations dedicated to other metals and minerals as Treasury Metals in 2008. Those operations included gold and base metals projects in the Americas and Asia, as well as investments in Sierra Minerals and Alliance Pacific Resources.
