Russians look to LUKOIL for their energy needs. Russia's #1 integrated oil company produces, refines, and sells oil and oil products; it accounts for 18% of Russia's crude oil production. In 2010 LUKOIL reported proved reserves of 17.3 billion barrels of oil equivalent, the majority of which is located in Russia. The company explores for oil and gas in 60 regions in Russia, and in Azerbaijan, Colombia, Egypt, Iran, Kazakhstan, and other areas in the Middle East and Central Asia. It owns refineries in six countries, and marketing and distribution assets in 30, including more than 6,500 gas stations. In addition, LUKOIL has power generation assets in Russia, Bulgaria, Romania and the Ukraine.
