Through its subsidiaries, Transtech Industries supervises and performs landfill monitoring, closure and post-closure procedures, and it oversees methane gas recovery operations. The company also generates electricity from methane gas produced at a company-owned landfill site; this business accounts for all of Transtech's revenue from external customers. Transtech's environmental services unit is engaged in closure and remediation of landfill sites formerly operated by other Transtech units.
