Kaman makes aircraft components for the aerospace and industrial distribution markets. The company manufactures Kaman-branded aircraft bearings and components in addition to metallic/composite aerostructures for commercial, military, and general aviation (fixed and rotary wing) aircraft. It also makes safety, arming, and fuzing devices for missile and bomb systems for the US and its allies; peforms subcontract helicopter work; restores, modifies and supports its SH-2G Super Seasprite maritime helicopters; and manufactures and supports its K-MAX manned and unmanned medium-to-heavy lift helicopters. Customers have included such notable names as Airbus, Bell, and Boeing. While it generates sales from most continents, the company's sales from North America make up most of its revenue. It sold its Distribution business to affiliates of Littlejohn & Co. for $700 million in 2019.
