What do you get when you cross a couple of investment bankers with TV's most ubiquitous florist? One rollicking party -- perhaps. iParty is a little firm founded by bigwigs: former Salomon Smith Barney executive Bob Lessin, Jim McCann of 1-800-Flowers, and LBO specialist Byron Hero. It sells more than 20,000 party-related items, including balloons, invitations and greeting cards, Halloween costumes, paper party goods, gag gifts, and Hawaiian luau items from 50-plus iParty retail stores in New England (about half the stores are in Massachusetts) and Florida. iParty is owned by Party City Holdings.
