The Florida Department of Veterans Affairs (FDVA) serves those who have served the US. The FDVA provides benefit information, education, long-term health, and advocacy services on behalf of veterans and their families in the state of Florida. The state agency represents Florida veterans in their dealings with the US Department of Veterans Affairs which actually provides and administers veterans benefits and services. The FDVA's services benefit not just veterans, but the entire state by maximizing the federal benefits due to Florida veterans that might otherwise be funded by state government. The FDVA has an annual budget of approximately $60 million.
