Cox Industries is no splinter group; its wood products are pressure-treated to stay together. The company is a manufacturer of pressure-treated wood products for such applications as outdoor furniture, playground equipment, decking, fences, arbors, gazebos, and more. Its Utility Products Division makes treated wood products used in utility poles, cross arms and brace arms, guard rails and posts, retaining walls, and marine construction. Products are distributed through building supply dealers, distributors, specialty distributors, and utility companines in the eastern US and internationally in Belgium and the UK. The company, founded as Wood Preserving in 1954, is still run by the Cox family.
