When one door shuts another opens for Cornell Iron Works. The company, which founded in 1828 as a maker of specialty ironwork, grates, railings, and stairs, has retained its original name, but today the company makes and distributes rolling and insulated service doors, fire doors, shutters, and security grilles. Its products are used for non-residential buildings such as industrial, institutional, and commercial structures. Cornell's metal doors are sold through a network of distributors throughout North America and international locations including Mexico, Brazil, and Egypt. The founding Cornell family still owns and manages the company.
