Atlanta Hardwood Corporation carves out its living from the trees of the Appalachian Mountains. Through its various divisions, Atlanta Hardwood supplies hardwood products, including lumber, plywood, veneer, moulding, and flooring, made from some 75 varieties of wood. It specializes in processing, distributing, and exporting products made from Appalachian wood, including Ash, Maple, Poplar, and White Oak. It also imports Mahogany, Teak, European Beech, and several other types of wood from international sources. Other offerings include custom product services that cater to architects, designers, and fabricators. Founded in 1952 by James Howard, Sr., Atlanta Hardwood is today headed by Howard's son, Jim Howard.
