ZON Multimédia offers a web of media and communications services through its more than 20 subsidiaries and affiliated companies in Portugal and Spain. ZON TV Cabo offers pay-television services, including cable TV and direct-to-home satellite broadcasting, as well as cable-modem based broadband Internet access, to about 1.5 million subscribers. About 500,000 subscribers connect to the Internet using ZON's cable service and the company serves about 350,000 fixed-voice telephone customers. Through ZON Conteúdos, it also produces television content, such as feature films, which is aired by ZON TV and other broadcasters. Subsidiary ZON Lusomundo Audiovisuais distributes films and operates movie theaters.
