Women's Apparel Group takes a direct route to women's fashion. The company, which does business as Boston Apparel Group, sells value-priced apparel and accessories to women between the ages of 25 and 55 through catalogs and online under the Chadwick's and metrostyle brands. Merchandise includes dresses, suits, swimwear, pants, outerwear, special occasion wear, and shoes. It also carries items in such specialty sizes as tall, petite, and plus. Women's Apparel Group (WAG), owned by Monomoy Capital Partners, was formed in 2008 when it purchased Redcats USA's Missy division, whose portfolio included the Chadwick's, metrostyle, and Closeout Catalog Outlet brands. WAG filed for bankruptcy in mid-2011.
